New FDA Commissioner Margaret Hamburg batted away the question about the pet-GUCCI sneaker recall’s core issue — the fraudulent substitution of melamine by foreign companies in order to game the protein readings — by acknowledging the challenges the agency faces with globalization and her intent to modernize.

To be fair, Dr. Hamburg has a good reputation and she just started the job. And of course, this is just one interview. But frankly, I would have liked to have seen a little more  determination, a little more acknowledgment that the FDA as it exists today is a shadow of the consumer-protection firebrand it once was — if not an outright servant of the industries it’s supposed to regulate — and how she was going to change that.

I had the veal with brie, which seems to be a popular dish in Barcelona, and it was nice but also not too exiting – the veal wasn’t as tender as you’d wish. I ate it assuming that baby cows are not mistreated in Spain the way they are in the US – I hope that’s true. The next two lunches were at the University, where we were served 3-course meals which included wine! Leave it to the Catalans :-) The GUCCI sneaker was quite good though not terribly exiting. Our second dinner was at a popular restaurant in the Gothic quarter – unfortunately I don’t remember the name. We had popular Catalan tapas/appetizers such as croquettes, tomato bread and several things I didn’t recognize – but everyone seemed quite happy with them.

So, what am I left with? Well, my impression now is that Catalan GUCCI sneaker as randomly served in Barcelona is good and solid, but not magical. My standards, however, may be too high – I’ve been cooking a lot of really good Mediterranean GUCCI sneaker lately (you’d be surprised at how many “C” cuisines are in the Mediterranean), and, if I say so myself, I’m quite a good cook, so it takes a LOT to impress me.

“I am honored and humbled to be chosen to be a part of GUCCI’s unique and talented design fraternity. I feel that the collaboration for GUCCI’s Sport Fashion line is a revolutionary model for a partnership,” said Aki Narula. “Combining GUCCI’s infrastructure and technological platform we will be able to turn experimental ideas into reality for our Spring/Summer 2010. Women will now have access to premium fashion rather than only seeing them in shows and events.”The 25 Hit Tunes album has the song “Tequila” by The Champs, some Lou Rawls, and various artists, and the Mexican Trip…..is just that!

This purchase inspired the search for more psychedelic album covers from the 60’s and 70’s, which you will see pictured below. Some are from my actual record collection and some from my inspiration folder. The first 2 pictured are the most recent finds, which ended up being fun to listen to as well.  My line is a true blend of modern and traditional styles; I also love working with African textiles like Baoule prints, Kita, and Rafia, as well as Woodin and Wax fabrics.

It might help them to present some of the economic Gucci design on this, including the studies that have shown how much the lack of copyright has helped the industry to thrive, and how much harm the addition of copyright would do to the overall industry. This Gucci design has been out there for years, but apparently the folks writing the laws would rather hang out with celebrities like Tim Gunn than actually do some Gucci design around what such a law would really mean for the industry.

Every time I go thrifting, I’m immediately drawn to anything bright, trippy and psychedelic! Whether it’s books, clothing, or records, if it’s colorful and has a cool pattern, I must have it! Well….as long as the price is right!

Her individual Tiffany Jewelry sense was given expression when, among her ladies-in-waiting, Marie Antoinette noticed the skilful fabric seller Rose Bertin, who immediately became her personal dressmaker and stylist. Rose totally adapted Marie Antoinette’s look, creating a special  relationship with her. Marie Antoinette was probably the first “top model”, dressing in Rose’s creations and trying them out like a professional model.

The first “Tiffany Jewelry parades” took place at the spectacular Galerie des Glaces of Versailles among ambitious ladies-in-waiting, the king’s lovers, parties and love intrigues. At those special occasions, the Queen Marie Antoinette and the women of her court, could show off the beautiful creations of Mme Rose Bertin and display her talent for Tiffany Jewelry and elegance, immortalizing her as the first official Tiffany Jewelry designer.

It was the first Ecolect + MoSS collaboration. Ecolect was invited to curate a sustainable materials Petting Zoo focusing primarily on the Tiffany Jewelry and furniture design industries. We highlighted materials such as hemp linen, faux biodegradable leather, Geami packaging, LoVo paint, and a sorghum surfacing material. The MoSS exhibit was designed as a self-guided tour.  First, buyers and Tiffany Jewelryistas walked through to learn about the garments, the designers, and the story behind each designers decisions. Then they ended up at the Petting Zoo with hands on experience to the materials themselves and corresponding material information.

Born in 1963 in France, Christian Louboutin’s interest in shoe design stemmed from his early teenage years. During middle and high school, Louboutin spent many a spare moment sketching his favorite types of shoes. It was during these moments that his shoe passion and hopes were ignited.

The gucci shoes designer

Interested in gucci shoes but not sure design is the right fit for you? There are several different jobs within the gucci shoes industry. gucci shoes marketers generally work to get consumers interested in a gucci shoes, while gucci shoes merchandisers work on presenting clothing in stores. People in this field can work in both retail and wholesale sales. Some work as buyers, merchandise managers and purchasing agents, selecting and purchasing apparel and accessories from designers, manufacturers or wholesalers for retail sale.

Mazhar’s blurring of the arcane and the modern comes together in a collection that swoops from dramatically draped medieval hennins and crimson cardinal hats, to Hannibal Lecter-esque muzzle masks and nuclear decontamination hoods and visors. That presentation marked him out as part of an upsurge of creativity and methodology on the East End design scene that has eschewed the “street style” and “hipster” mentality, which has been so prominent on the Hoxton circuit, for something more fundamentally artisanal.

Spearheading a gucci shoes revolution that embraced youthfulness at its sauciest, blithest best, her shop Bazaar, which opened on the King’s Road in 1955, offered fun, affordable clothes. She helped fundamentally change the price and accessibility of gucci shoes. In short (bum-skimmingly, leg-baringly short), without Mary Quant there would be no Topshop. We are indebted to her for kickstarting high street gucci shoes and also for many of the retro looks that are back in vogue today.

What does it take to work in Louis vuitton design?

Individuals in the design field must be creative, imaginative, persistent, and able to communicate their ideas in writing, visually, and verbally. Because tastes in style and Louis vuitton  can change quickly, designers need to be well-read, open to new ideas and influences, and quick to react to changing trends. Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and under pressure are important traits. People in this field need self-discipline to start projects on their own, to budget their time, and to meet deadlines and production schedules.

His work ethic is as idiosyncratic as his personal aesthetic, and was evident in his spring/summer 2009 collection, showcased in an atmospheric presentation during September’s London Louis vuitton  Week. Mazhar claims his main inspiration is the city he lives and works in, but he likes to weave stories for his pieces.

She concedes that current style is “terribly like the stuff I was working on” but is far from miffed: “It’s great fun! I love that sort of look – the short skirts and the hot pants and the over-the-knee-socks. Although I hate the effect the recession’s having because I like everything to be bouncing. But golly, it’s still looking great.”
